Artwork
Send your electronic art via email to art@quakecitycaps.com as an Adobe Illustrator CS3 (.ai or .eps) file. Please include PMS colors within the art file, if that is not possible, include PMS colors in your written e-mail instructions. Vector .eps files from other programs such as Corel or Freehand are also acceptable and preferred over bitmap art. Bitmap art files in .jpg, .tif, .psd, .bmp or .gif are acceptable as long as the resolution of the file is 200 dpi and above, preferably 300 dpi. If electronic art is not available, camera ready 4-color artwork is preferred. Artwork that is not camera ready, ie: faxes, Xerox copies, or letterhead, will delay the process of your order and will be charged an additional $120.00 (A) hourly fee. A revised quote will be provided once the artwork is received and evaluated. For more information on Smart Codes, click here.

Straight Line Copy
Quake City will create artwork for a straight line of copy, such as web addresses or event dates at no charge. Digitizing fees still apply. All other touch-up or redrawing of art will be assessed at a $120.00 (A) hourly fee, in addition to the digitizing fee.

Production Approvals
  • When placing an order, please identify which type of approval you prefer. A Virtual Approval, a Digital Photo of the embroidered cap or an Embroidered Cap sample. If an approval type is not selected Quake City will proceed with a digital photo. Up to 5 working days may be required to produce Production Approvals for domestic production and up to 3 weeks for custom imports.
  • Virtual Approvals and Digital Photos are no charge. When a sample is sent for approval, the customer is responsible for freight charges.
  • Once approved, orders requiring embroidery normally ship in 5 working days. Orders that require Photo Art or a new die for an applique will normally ship in 10 working days.
  • A signed production waiver will expedite the approval process. However, in doing so the customer must be aware that they take fullr esponsibility for the product they receive. Caps that employ Photo Art ornamentation will not be expedited by the signing of a waiver. Caps with Photo Art ornamentation will be processed through the normal approval procedure.
  • Orders of 576 caps or more will not be expedited by the signing of a waiver. Orders of this size or greater will be processed through the normal approval procedure.
  • Custom overseas samples will be billed at $40.00 (A)

Embroidery Thread
Quake City uses Robison-Anton Super Strength Rayon. If you require an exact thread brand or color match, an additional charge of 10% will be applied to the cost of embroidery.

Customer Supplied Embroidery Programs

The following criteria must be met:

A. Tajima formatted embroidery files can be e-mailed to art@quakecitycaps.com
    or provided on a 3 1/2" diskette.

B. Embroidery programs are digitized specifically for the fabrications they were initially intended for. Deviations in quality of the embroidery may occur as a result of a change in fabrication.

C. Be sure to include the color changes, machine trims, thread brand, and thread colors. If thread colors are not available, please provide PMS colors.

D. Digitizings programmed for flat goods knit or fleeces may not be suitable for finished caps. Quake City Caps reserves the right to refuse a customer provided digitizing tape that can result in inferior embroidery quality.

E. If digitizing modifications are required, the normal production time quoted above can not be guaranteed.
